About You

You are early in your career and serious about learning how AI systems actually work.

You are comfortable researching unfamiliar technical topics, testing your assumptions, and writing down what you learned.

You have used AI systems, run models, tested tools, or built technical projects because you wanted to understand the mechanics.

You have a computer science background, academically or through practical work, and can grow with the command line, VS Code, GitHub, Linux environments, and modern AI tooling.

Exposure to vLLM, SGLang, llama.cpp, or similar inference engines is a plus.

You explain your thinking clearly, accept review, and revise your work when better evidence appears.

You can take a clearly defined action item and move it toward a useful deliverable without needing every step assigned.

What You'll Do

  • Work with the technical team to turn defined development objectives into completed work products.
  • Research unfamiliar AI, Linux, model, and tooling questions and document what you find clearly.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate research, development, debugging, testing, and documentation while verifying the output.
  • Help test product workflows, investigate failures, collect evidence, and drive issues toward resolution.
  • Work with modern AI infrastructure, including models, inference engines, Linux environments, containers, GPUs, and supporting systems.
  • Write clear notes, test results, setup records, and summaries that other builders can use.
  • Participate in peer review, absorb technical feedback, and improve your work quickly.
  • Escalate blockers early with enough context for the team to make decisions.

About You

You have enough hands-on AI or systems experience to turn ambiguous objectives into concrete work.

You like hard technical problems and can move from research to implementation without losing the thread.

You have worked with AI systems, run models, tested tooling, or built technical projects beyond surface-level prompting.

You are comfortable with the command line, VS Code, GitHub, Linux environments, and modern AI tooling.

Experience with vLLM, SGLang, llama.cpp, or similar inference engines is a strong plus.

You can explain your thinking, defend it, accept challenge, and change direction when better evidence appears.

You can own a deliverable from definition through review, testing, and handoff.

What You'll Do

  • Work with technical leadership to define development objectives and bring them through the full software development lifecycle.
  • Turn technical objectives, problems, and action items into clearly defined work products and completed deliverables.
  • Participate actively in design, development, review, testing, and release cycles.
  • Plan and execute testing cycles, investigate failures, and drive issues through resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with technical leads, other analysts, and project managers to keep work moving.
  • Research unfamiliar technologies and technical problems as needed to complete an objective.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate research, development, debugging, testing, and documentation while verifying the output.
  • Work with modern AI infrastructure, including models, inference engines, Linux environments, containers, GPUs, and supporting systems.
  • Review the work of peers and contribute substantive technical feedback.
  • Maintain clear documentation of decisions, findings, test results, and outstanding issues.
  • Identify blockers early and take ownership of clearing them.
  • Work independently when appropriate and know when to pull in the broader team.
  • Carry multiple technical objectives while maintaining quality and follow-through.
  • Help improve the methods, tools, and processes the Technical Team uses to build nFOX.
